The ASR Difference

Why Choose ASR?

ASR Moving Systems has been helping customers move since 2012. Our house-moving crews can handle everything from furniture and appliances to full household contents, with moving blankets, dollies and the equipment needed to protect and transport your belongings. For larger house moves, we can recommend the right crew size, truck setup and pricing option based on the inventory and access conditions. We also handle basic furniture disassembly and reassembly where needed, helping make full-house moves more organized from pickup to delivery.

Clear planning

Cost & Pricing

The cost of a house move depends on the size of the home, amount of furniture and belongings, number of movers required, moving time, travel distance, stairs, basements, walking distance, parking and truck access.

Smaller local home moves are generally priced hourly. Flat-rate pricing is also available for house moves upon request. For larger or complete household moves, we may recommend an in-home estimate when practical so we can properly assess the inventory and access conditions.

When an in-home estimate is not practical because of distance, short notice or scheduling, we may still be able to prepare a flat-rate quote using a detailed inventory, photos or videos, and accurate information about the property and items being moved.

Any flat-rate pricing and what is included will be clearly confirmed before booking.

Helpful planning guidance

Planning a House Move in Toronto or the GTA

House moves vary widely depending on the size of the home, the amount of furniture and the access at both addresses. Sharing those details early helps us recommend the right crew, truck and preparation plan.

01

Access at Both Homes

Driveways, street parking, stairs and the distance from the door to the truck can affect loading time and equipment needs.

02

Furniture & Fragile Items

Large furniture, glass, artwork and delicate belongings may need disassembly, additional wrapping or a planned path through the home.

03

Moving-Day Sequence

Room labels and a clear unloading plan help the crew place boxes and furniture where they belong at the destination.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I prepare for a full-house move?

Have boxes packed and labelled before moving day unless packing services have been arranged. Clear hallways, confirm parking access and let us know about large furniture, heavy items or anything that may require disassembly.

Do you provide in-home estimates for larger house moves?

Yes. For larger or complete house moves, we may recommend an in-home estimate so we can properly assess the furniture, access conditions and overall size of the move before providing pricing.

Can you move my entire household in one trip?

In many cases, yes. The number of trips depends on the size of your household, the amount of furniture and the truck capacity required. For larger house moves, we may review the inventory in advance to make sure the right truck and crew are assigned.

How do I know whether I need three, four or more movers for my house move?

Crew size depends on the size of the home, amount of furniture, stairs, walking distance, access and how quickly the move needs to be completed. For larger homes, an in-home estimate can help us recommend the most efficient crew and truck setup.

Can you move items from the basement, garage and backyard as part of a house move?

Yes. These areas can all be included. Please mention them when requesting your quote because basements, garages and outdoor areas can contain a significant amount of additional furniture and belongings.

What if my driveway cannot accommodate a large moving truck?

Tell us about narrow, steep or restricted driveways before moving day. Photos can be helpful. Depending on the access, we may recommend a different truck arrangement or additional planning.

Does ASR Moving Systems offer flat-rate moving?

Yes. ASR Moving Systems offers flat-rate moving by request, particularly for larger household moves, full-house moves, and moves where customers prefer to know the cost in advance. Smaller local moves may be better suited to hourly pricing depending on the size and circumstances of the move.

What happens if I have more items than originally listed?

Please let us know as soon as possible if your inventory changes. A few minor additions may not significantly affect the move, but a substantial increase in furniture, boxes, appliances, or other belongings can affect the amount of labour, truck space, and time required. We can review the changes with you before moving day and confirm whether the flat rate needs to be adjusted.
